Southern Motion Furniture - Horrible material and customer service
We bought a Southern Motion boned leather Rocker Recliner and a Couch with electric foot rest, when we bought the furniture we were told there was a life time warranty on this furniture in case of tears, burns or any other issue. We paid more money for this 1 recliner then we could have got 2 other high quality recliners for.
Not to mention the couch! We had a problem with the rocking mechanism and the store we bought it from sent it in and got it taken care of. About 3 and a half years after owning this furniture and no one hardly using it due to being "cold leather" the material started coming apart! I contacted the store and they said they contacted the company and said they wouldn't do anything about it.
It has been just over 7 years since I bought this manufacture defected furniture and now our couch is starting to do the same thing, the furniture works fine but looks like trash, only place for this furniture to be is in a burn pile, it is UGLY and I called the company and she said they won't cover it because it is past the "extended warranty" even though this is a very well known problem, so bad that they don't even make the bonded leather anymore because of all the complaints! Funny because my parents had a 10 year old Lazyboy recliner that they had a manufacturer defect in the material and they gave them a whole new recliner, no questions asked!
I will NEVER buy Southern Motion furniture again even though I like the looks of it. Stay clear, horrible material and even worse customer service!
