We bought a sofa and matching loveseat in the "leather" material. We asked the salesman, (who happened to be the store manager) several times to the wearability of the material as we didn't mind paying more for real leather.
He assured us that this would last for years. (We should have known). Within 5 months the seats of the loveseat started to bubble and come apart, then large pieces started to peel off. The "leather" which was coated on was paper thin.
We called and they sent someone to look at it, then set up another appointment to come and pick up the loveseat and repair it. Then the sofa started doing the same thing. We called again, (we purchased from Art Van furniture in Battle Creek, Michigan) and asked, if we could just return the furniture and spend the additional money, at their store, to purchase real leather furniture. The customer service person told us, they didn't want the furniture, it was defective, what were they supposed to do with it.
Seriously? Not only has Art Van lost a customer, but I will stay far away from Southern Motion brand furniture.
