We bought an oversized loveseat a little over a year ago for $2500. The leather (which is supposed to be real leather) has faded looking spots on it.

We contacted the furniture dealer who put in a claim for us but Southern Motion denied the claim saying it was "patina" and adds character. There is a spot where my husband's head lays, a spot where his leg normally lays and spots on my side where my arm lays. This is not what I would call "patina"' that is normally something that would happen all over; not just in spots. And there's nothing characteristic about it.

It looks bad. What a crock. I have had other leather furniture before and it sure didn't "patina" in spots.

This is also not good customer service, they won't even come look at it. I would not recommend Southern Motion to anyone and will spread the word as much as I can.
