We bought an oversized loveseat a little over a year ago for $2500.The leather (which is supposed to be real leather) has faded looking spots on it.

We contacted the furniture dealer who put in a claim for us but Southern Motion denied the claim saying it was "patina" and adds character. There is a spot where my husband's head lays, a spot where his leg normally lays and spots on my side where my arm lays. This is not what I would call "patina"' that is normally something that would happen all over; not just in spots. And there's nothing characteristic about it.

It looks bad. What a crock. I have had other leather furniture before and it sure didn't "patina" in spots.

This is also not good customer service, they won't even come look at it.I would not recommend Southern Motion to anyone and will spread the word as much as I can.
